Have you walked the Test Way?
We are having lovely sunny days for walks or riding our bikes in glorious nature, so why not taking the chance for a visit to the river Test and walking one of the most beautiful footpaths in England? Our art framing studio is located in the heart of the Test Valley, between Romsey and Stockbridge. You will find us in Upper Timsbury, within walking distance to Mottisfont.
The Test Way is a 44-mile long-footpath running from Eiling in Hampshire to Wallbury Hill in West Berkshire. This track follows much of the course of the river Test giving you the opportunity to visit historic places like Romsey Abbey and its local markets, Mottisfont Abbey and villages like King's Somborne and Stockbridge. Right at the entrance of Romsey coming from Eiling the magnificent architecture of the Broadlands welcome the visitors to the city and at the other end following the Test Way you will find the natural reserve of Fishlake Meadows.
There are plenty of places to enjoy local foods and village shops to make the most of your visit. If you decide to walk just part of the Test Way you will find parking areas where to leave your vehicle and plenty of information on public transport here.
At the First Floor Gallery Picture Framing Studio we feel blessed for working in such a beauty spot surrounded by nature with plenty of fresh air and welcoming villagers.
