Contemporary art on a tray!

This week we are talking about how to frame an original acrylic on canvas by one of our featured artists using a tray frame. The artwork has been painted on a deep box-type canvas so we have chosen a tray frame that would be flush with the canvas. At our picture framing studio we can paint the frame any color to suit your preferences but on this occasion the artist wanted a raw wood look for a colorful contemporary piece of art.

At the 1st Floor Gallery Picture Framing Studio we offer bespoke stretcher bars for canvases that require it but on this occasion the raw tray frame was more than enough to enhance a vibrant acrylic on a pre-stretched canvas.
